Radio Maisha presenter Chris The Bass has shared a heartfelt plea for prayers after his daughter, Hekima, was involved in a devastating road accident.

Hekima and her teammates were traveling when their car overturned, resulting in various injuries among the passengers.

Tragically, one of Hekima's teammates succumbed to the injuries. In a deeply emotional post, Chris expressed his gratitude that his daughter's injuries were not life-threatening, while mourning the pain and loss experienced by the other families.

He wrote: "My heart is heavy tonight as I pray for my daughter Hekima’s recovery after a terrible car accident. I’m also lifting up prayers for her teammates who were badly hurt and for the family grieving the loss of their daughter. I’m grateful to God because it could have been so much worse. Please put her and her teammates in your prayers tonight."

The news of the accident elicited an outpouring of support from fans, friends, and fellow media personalities.

Commenting on his post, comedian MCA Tricky wrote, "Oooh pole sana bro, we pray for her quick recovery."

Similarly, Patrick Igunza shared a message of hope: "God’s Grace, brother. May God’s healing be their portion. Psalm 107:20."

Many others, including Abel Mutua, Vinnie Baite, DJ Soxxy, and Mulamwah, joined in offering their condolences and prayers.

The accident marks a critical time for Chris, who earlier this year made big headlines for his career shift.

In April 2024, Chris announced his departure from Milele FM after a memorable five-year tenure.

Known for his vibrant afternoon show alongside comedian MCA Tricky, Chris revealed his decision to leave via an Instagram post from the United States.

Reflecting on his journey, he wrote: "Jamani, kilicho na mwanzo lazima kiwe na mwisho. My five years at Radio Milele have been something amazing. ASANTE SANA kwako wewe msikilizaji, kwa sababu bila wewe mimi sipo!!"
