Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has revealed that over the past month, he has been immersed in reading books as part of his preparations for his third postgraduate degree examination.
The legislator has now stated that he will take a temporary break from books to engage in the ODM party's process of registering more members in Nairobi.
"For the past month, I have been devouring books like sweet potatoes, preparing for my third Master's degree exams. But I will take a short break for the ODM recruitment exercise in Nairobi before resuming my academic onslaught. God bless me," said Babu.
The scholarly MP, who is rumoured to be considering a run for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat in the 2027 general election, continued to boast, stating that he typically shows no mercy to books when he sits down to study.
"I am turning these pages forcefully in my plan to ensure I show no mercy to my examiners," remarked Owino.
In the post, Owino was pictured sitting at a table with a stack of books in front of him.
