- Drama unfolded when TikToker Mary Musyoka accused Azziad of failing to pay back Sh300,000.
Kenyan media personality and TikTok sensation Azziad Nasenya is once again in the spotlight after allegations of unpaid debt rocked social media.
The drama unfolded when fellow TikToker Mary Musyoka accused Azziad of failing to pay back the Sh300,000 that she had allegedly loaned her.
In a viral TikTok video, Mary had shared a WhatsApp voice note, claiming it was from Azziad, where she was heard pleading for financial help.
The voice note reportedly stated, "I am in a fix and I am stuck. There is a whole story behind it, but I will tell you the details later in case you are interested. I need a loan of a rather large sum of money, but I promise you will have it back by Sunday or Monday latest. I am stranded, it is crazy."
However, the latest twist in the saga has taken social media by storm. Mary has now posted a follow-up video, excitedly confirming that the money has been repaid.
She was seen dancing in the video, captioning it, "My money is back, guys. Kumbe kelele husaidia!"
While many believed a fan had stepped in to help Azziad, digital creator Hannah Benta contradicted this claim.
During a TikTok Live, Hannah stated that she was the one who reached out to an unknown person who then settled the amount.
"Ata mimi nimelipwa. Mimi ndio unafaa uambie asanti juu nimeongelesha mtu akatulipa," Hannah claimed, suggesting that Azziad’s fan might not have been involved.
Despite these claims, a TikToker identified as @farnushdance, a Persian dancer based in Toronto, Canada, was hinted to have played a role in clearing the debt.
Earlier when Musyoka came out with the huge debt allegations, Azziad took to social media to thank her supporters, stating,"I am fine and just taking it a day at a time and thanking God."
The controversy has sparked mixed reactions among netizens. Some have criticised Azziad for allegedly "living a fake life", while others have come to her defence.
A section of fans have even suggested that she set up a paybill number so they can support her financially.
One Instagram user commented, "Angusha Paybill tuchangie Azziad. That girl used to dance for us on TikTok."
On the other hand, others were not as sympathetic.
