"Anyone but a Luo man" Yvonne Khisa says

Yesterday, content creator Yvonne Khisa was a guest on Oga Obinna's popular YouTube show.

One of the things she spoke about was being an altar server while growing up so much so that felt like she could be a sister in the Catholic Church.

Khisa also disclosed that her type of man is any man breathing but not a Luo man.

“My type of man is mwenye anapumua but not a Luo.” She also went on to disclose that she is single.

Khisa also spoke about how she got into content creation saying that it started in primary school, then in journalism clubs, before she joined KUTT.

During Covid times she went hard posting content online, something that gave her a platform to showcase her talent and helped her grow career wise.

Some of the challenges she faced when she began her journey of content creation was being trolled on X formerly Twitter.

People in comment sections were attacking in a way she felt like they were attacking her gender and not the content she made.

“Go back, women should not be doing this, this is the problem of telling women that they are funny,” she told Obinna.

She also adviced people who are in the field of content creation to be keen on certain things in order to make it as there are many mistakes that creators fall into.

"If you're doing something with someone, know your value. Give them your rate card, if hawaezi fika bei its okay the job wasn't for you and you aren't supposed to work together," before adding, "Read your contracts well before even signing get insights and also give opinions."

She also finished by urging young people who want to do whatever she is doing saying,

"Keep pushing, keep showing up. It's gonna be tough no one should tell you that it is easy but once you start doing it and you see the fulfillment and you know that you are making people smile and making their days just keep on showing up everyday somebody will see."
