Nightclub hostess and social media influencer Amber Ray has clapped back at netizens criticizing her for labeling her baby daddy, city businessman Kennedy Rapudo, as "Tajiri."
"Tajiri" is a Swahili word that translates to wealthy/rich and is used to highlight the flamboyant status symbol of a person.
A while back, Amber started referring to herself as "Bibi ya Tajiri," and the name has been her moniker since then.
However, according to the mother of two, a section of netizens have apparently voiced their displeasure with the nickname as they feel Rapudo does not really have the wealth nor status symbol to bear the name.

Following this, the media influencer went on a tirade, clapping back at those questioning their wealth and her pet name for her baby daddy.
Sharing on her Instagram page, the mother of two fiercely stated, "Mimi I don't know guys... so let me ask you this. You know, I have seen so many people wanakasirika sana (they get very mad) when they hear me calling myself 'bibi ya tajiri' (a rich man's wife) and they even try so hard to prove to me that mimi si bibi ya tajiri! (I'm not a rich man's wife) and I always ask myself, we are not in any competition, if you feel your husband is also a tajiri you call him a tajiri! And let me call mine a tajiri in peace."
Amber went on to argue that she did not understand why people were mad pressed by her praising her husband while she had not put any rules and regulations on how people can interact with their men.
The content creator pointed out that she has received several messages from individuals, with others even going to the extent of creating pseudo accounts so as to try and bully her from dropping the name "Tajiri," which she finds very amusing.
She further highlighted no one knows her man's net worth or even why she calls him "Tajiri," so they should all chill.
"You don't know why I'm calling him tajiri! People are out here saying 'oohh bibi ya tajiri doesn't host night clubs, bibi ya tajiri doesn't dress the way you dress' and a bunch of other things. Can everyone just live their own lives!" Amber shared.

Wrapping up, Amber Ray pointed out that no one knew their personal business so no one could dictate what she can and can't call her man.
"Even you go ahead and call yours tajiri if... emphasis on if you feel that they are deserving of that title. I see people sending me DM's abusing me telling me 'I'm not a rich man's wife, oohh my hubby is not even wealthy, I'm not even qualified to be bibi ya tajiri and so many other things and I'm like do you guys even know his net worth?" the veteran socialite fiercely stated.
Rapudo, who was in the vehicle with Amber during her rant, pointed out that the world was huge and it could accommodate multiple rich people. Adding, his woman calling him "Tajiri" didn't deduct from anyone's wealth.
He went on to ask Amber to relax as, "People will always talk."
