Musician and entrepreneur Akothee has penned an open letter in support of TikToker Azziad Nasenya, amid reports that Azziad's Ksh25 million apartment in Kileleshwa is being auctioned.
In her post, Akothee defends Azziad's ambition and criticizes those who are mocking her financial struggles.

A Public Show of Support
In a lengthy social media post, Akothee addressed the public scrutiny surrounding Azziad. She began by expressing her respect and love for the young content creator.
“Let’s stop bullying Azziad, pick a struggle! First and foremost, I respect and love this girl even more for dreaming bigger. That’s exactly the way to go,” Akothee said.
Akothee argued that people should celebrate Azziad's courage for "dreaming bigger" and taking a risk by acquiring a loan to buy a house at just 25 years old.
She stated that Azziad's situation is a reflection of the reality that many Kenyans are living on loans and borrowed money.
“Let’s reason together. At just 25 years old, Azziad can acquire a loan and buy herself a house. That’s commendable!”
Akothee also hit back at critics, suggesting that some of them couldn't even qualify for a motorbike loan and were living in rental houses they could barely afford.

“Some of the men criticizing her don’t even qualify for a motorbike loan and are still living in rental houses they can barely afford. Let’s celebrate courage, not condemn it.”
She urged the public to celebrate courage instead of condemning it.
“Some of us, at 25, had already survived 70 failed marriages, were raising children alone, torn between returning to our parents’ homes or sleeping on the streets — with zero bank accounts, no jobs, no certificates, and no direction.”
The Auction Reports
Akothee's message comes after reports surfaced that Azziad’s apartment was set for auction.
The reports claim that the content creator defaulted on a Ksh25 million mortgage after just three months.

The news has triggered a range of online reactions, with some social media users mocking Azziad and others coming to her defence.

The ongoing debate has raised questions about the pressures faced by young social media personalities to maintain a certain lifestyle.
Akothee's letter highlighted a different perspective, focusing on Azziad's bravery and ambition rather than her financial difficulties.
