Actress Sandra Dacha has revealed that she has lost a total of 17 Kgs since August last year when she started her weight loss journey through the use of Ozempic.

Originally, Ozempic,  a weekly injection was approved to treat type 2 diabetes, but some doctors may use it for weight loss.

Taking to social media, Dacha said it started when she was diagnosed with pneumonia.

"On October 5th 2023…I felt sick, went to the hospital, got tested, and was diagnosed with pneumonia. The nurse pulled me aside and told me it was important if I shed some weight because I had surpassed obesity."

She said she was at greater morbid obesity. 

"This is the last last stage of unono😂hapa ukipita sasa wewe tunakuwachia tu Mungu."

According to the Cleveland Clinic, greater morbid obesity is a complex chronic condition in which a person has a body mass index of 40 or higher.

Dacha revealed that it was then that she opted for Ozempic.

"To cut the long story short…I decided to find a solution and that’s when I met Dr. Arshni of @tiaclinicskenya and Started my weight loss OZEMPIC journey in August last year…this is my Fourth month and is loving it😇>"I was at 152kgs and today I am at 135kgs. Losing 1kilo a week."

"I have a long way to go. Patience is key."

Dacha wants to go back to her usual kilograms of about  115 to 123.

"I wanted to share my weight loss journey after a year but been reading the comment section anytime I make a post and it’s clear you guys had started noticing me losing weight so I said why not talk about it now🤷🏿‍♀️ ama niko na kiherehere?" She concluded
