Mombasa: A 19-year-old man falls off Dongo Kundu Bridge and drowns
A 19-year-old man on Saturday fell off the Dongo Kundu bridge in Likoni, Mombasa County and drowned in the Indian Ocean.
Police said Mwandia Mwatela was crossing to the other side of the unused lane of the elevated highway when the accident happened at around 6 p.m.
“As he crossed over to the other side, unfortunately, he landed through the incomplete section into the Indian Ocean,” the Vijiweni police station OCS said in a report.
At press time, police and officers from the Coast Guard team were searching for the man’s body.
