A woman from the Agra community in India has requested a divorce from her husband approximately 40 days after their wedding.

The woman is seeking a divorce from Rajesh, accusing him of not bathing daily, which she says causes her discomfort in the marriage due to his body odor.

The complainant alleges that her husband bathes only once or twice a month.

She complained to a family counseling center in Agra that she cannot continue living with her husband due to his poor personal hygiene.

Furthermore, after being questioned by the family counseling center, the husband admitted to bathing only once or twice a month but mentioned that he pours water from the Ganges River, known as gangajal, on himself every week.

The complainant informed the family counselors that her husband bathed only six times in the 40 days they lived together after their marriage.

However, after discussions with police officers, the husband agreed to improve his habits and promised to bathe daily, although the complainant was not willing to continue living with him.
