Fresh produce and retail distributor Twiga Foods has announced a temporary pause in operations as it undertakes key internal upgrades, including a relocation to a more strategic distribution facility.

The company expects to resume deliveries in early August 2025, according to an official update shared with customers and stakeholders.

The move is aimed at improving service delivery and operational efficiency. In its public notice, Twiga highlighted that the short break will enable the company to introduce better prices, new product offerings, and faster, more reliable service.

“Twiga has temporarily paused operations to implement key improvements,” the statement read. “We appreciate your patience and support during this period.”

The restructuring effort signals Twiga’s intention to stay competitive and responsive to a dynamic retail and agribusiness environment.

Founded in 2014, Twiga connects farmers and retailers through a tech-enabled platform, reducing inefficiencies in the agricultural supply chain.
