See Barack Obama's sweet Valentine's Day message to Michelle amid divorce rumours

Former U.S. President Barack Obama has once again melted hearts with a heartfelt Valentine’s Day tribute to his wife, Michelle Obama.

Sharing a sweet selfie of the two of them with their cheeks touching as they smiled for the camera, Obama reflected on their enduring love.

"Thirty-two years together and you still take my breath away. Happy Valentine’s Day," he wrote on X, expressing his deep affection for the former First Lady.

The touching message follows a similar public display of love on Michelle’s birthday. In January, Obama subtly dismissed swirling divorce rumours by posting a cosy photo of them holding hands in a wine cellar.

"Happy birthday to the love of my life, @MichelleObama," he wrote on X. "You fill every room with warmth, wisdom, humour, and grace—and you look good doing it. I’m so lucky to be able to take on life’s adventures with you. Love you!"

Despite these affirmations of love, speculation about the state of their marriage has continued to spread.

Michelle’s noticeable absence from key public events has fueled discussions about potential trouble in their 32-year union.

On January 7, she was missing from former President Jimmy Carter’s state funeral, where Obama was present alongside other former presidents and their spouses. Her absence raised eyebrows, adding to ongoing chatter about the couple's relationship.

Further fueling rumours, Michelle’s office confirmed she would not attend President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, citing "personal reasons." However, many saw this as a possible sign of underlying marital issues.

Traditionally, former First Ladies attend such events, making her decision stand out. The Obamas have always been open about the realities of marriage, with Michelle sharing insights into their struggles over the years.

In her memoir Becoming, she described the challenges of balancing her husband’s demanding political career with their family life, calling herself "a full-time working mother with a half-time spouse."

During a 2022 book tour for The Light We Carry, she admitted there was a period in their marriage when she "couldn’t stand" Obama, particularly when their children were young.

She credited therapy and communication for helping them navigate tough times, but social media has reignited discussions about her past revelations.

Hashtags like #ObamaDivorce have trended, with online users speculating about her solo projects and extended absences. Some even claim to have insider knowledge of a rift, though no credible sources have confirmed any separation.
