ODM leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday joined other high-profile leaders at a State banquet organised in honour of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

The banquet was held at State House, Nairobi.

At State House, Raila was seen engaging various leaders including  Cabinet Secretaries and politicians across the political divide.

Among those who were seen engaging the ODM leader are CS Alfred Mutua, UDA SG Cleophas Malala and President William Ruto's security Advisor Monica Juma.

This is the first time Raila is seen at State House after the 2022 elections which he lost to Ruto.

Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa is among the corporate dignitaries present at State House.

Members of parliament, Governors, Senators and senior government officials are also present.

The King and Queen Camilla arrived in Kenya on Monday night for a four-day state visit to the country.

Their Majesties' visit is at the invitation of President Ruto and comes as Kenya prepares to celebrate 60 years of independence.

The visit is the first official visit by Their Majesties to an African nation.

It is also the first to be a Commonwealth member state since its coronation in May 2023.

Their Majesties visit is aimed at celebrating the warm relationship between the two countries and the strong and dynamic partnership they continue to forge.

During their four-day visit, King Charles III and Queen Camilla will visit Nairobi City County, Mombasa County, and surrounding areas.

The King will take time during the visit to deepen his understanding of the wrongs suffered in this period by the people of Kenya.
