Quiver Steak House announce decision to stop playing music after a public outrage over excessive noise

Popular nightclub Quiver Steak House located in Milimani, Nairobi has bowed to mounting pressure and has agreed to permanently tune down its speakers.

This is after residents neighbouring the joint have endured sleepless nights over excessive noise emanating the premise, calling for apt action from authorities.

After public clamour, the club said that they have arrived at a "groundbreaking decision to be the first club to embrace an innovative concept by not playing music".

The Quiver branch said that due to their decision, merrymakers will be afforded all the dainties the joint offers save for loud music.

"This unique approach aims to create a vibrant atmosphere where guests can fully enjoy their time without the distraction of loud music, we believe that people can still eat, drink, and have fun while engaging in meaningful conversations and connecting with one another," said the branch in a statement.

"By eliminating loud music, we encourage a more social environment where laughter. chatter and the clinking of glasses take center stage."

Patrons have been invited to explore "a different way to enjoy a night out one where the rhythm of the night is set by the energy of our guests rather than loud music."

Expressing their dejection, some of the residents said that the club blasts its music during the dead hours of the night.

A family with triplets told Citizen TV that the joint has been disregarding their complaints despite attempting to address its management.

"In the last 3 months since they introduced their live band these guys play music up to 3am," said Otieno Wafula.

Wafula's wife Shilla Odero said: "I have to take care of the three babies and when the noise is too much I have to call him to call the Quiver management to reduce the noise but they never respond."

The joint operates a few metres from the Military headquarters, the State House, and the County Commander of Nairobi Headquarters.
