Protesters take to streets to oppose the 2023 Finance Bill

Police officers have lobbed teargas canisters to disperse hundreds of protesters who were protesting against the Finance Bill 2023.
The protest were dubbed sita sita to coincide with today's date 6th June. The protesters gathered to voice their concerns over the controversial 2023 Finance Bill.
In a march that began at Jevanjee Gardens, the protesters cut through Nairobi CBD, heading to parliament buildings.
“Down! Down! Finance Bill!” the protesters chanted at the City with placards opposing the contentious bill.
Police officers arrested a number of protesters after running battles in the CBD.
