President William Ruto has challenged his critics to present their development agenda to Kenyans instead of relying on the politics of hate and division.
Speaking at the Gospel Embassy Chapel in Kisii County on Saturday, he pointed out that intelligent leaders explain their agenda and plan to the people.
He said Kenya must reject divisive politics and instead focus on unity, peace and prosperity.
"We have a problem in this country. Some leaders have no vision. And where there is no vision people perish. This is why we are asking those criticising our transformation agenda to tell us their alternative plans if they are, indeed, intelligent," President Ruto said.
The President noted that some leaders do not believe in Kenya, saying they have been mocking the plan to transform Kenya from third world to first world status.

"I want to ask those who don't believe in our transformation agenda to pave way for those who are committed to the prosperity of this great nation," he pointed out.
He exuded confidence that the transformative initiatives in health, education, energy, housing and infrastructure, among other sectors, will pull the country out of from third to first world status.
"I will do everything possible to transform this country. Yes, it is possible," President Ruto explained.
On development in Kisii, the President said Ksh.32 billion was being invested in affordable housing, modern markets and student hostels in the county.
"No other government in the history of this country has allocated such huge resources to Kisii County to fund development," he pointed out.
He put non-performing contractors in government projects on notice, saying they must complete their work within the stipulated time.
Additionally, President Ruto said the Kisii Agricultural Show offices will be moved from town to pave way for the expansion of Kisii Stadium.
Likewise, the President said Kisii Prison will be relocated from town to pave way for the building of 10,000 affordable housing units in the county.
On the construction of a cancer centre in Kisii, President Ruto explained that the initial contractor had been kicked out for delaying the works and another had been identified and is on site.
"The government will not hesitate to terminate contracts of lazy contractors. Construction works should always be completed in time," he said.
On universal healthcare, the President commended the residents of Kisii County for good registration in the Social Health Authority (SHA). He said 547,000 people had registered, translating to 45 per cent of the total population.
"Everyone should be registered with SHA to benefit from free primary healthcare services and medical insurance, saying health is not a privilege for a few but a right for all Kenyans," he said.
Furthermore, the President said the government has made available funds to connect 30,000 people to electricity.
Education Cabinet Secretary Migos Ogamba assured Kenyans that plans for a smooth transition from Junior School to Senior School were complete.
"I want to assure parents that the transition from Grade 9 to Grade 10 is well on course. There is nothing to worry about," Mr Ogamba said.
Deputy Governor, and MPs Zaheer Jhanda (Nyaribari Chache), Alfa Miruka (Bomachoge Chache), Sylvanus Osoro (South Mugirango), Japeth Nyakundi (Kitutu Chache North) and Donya Aburi (Kisii Women Rep) were present.
Also at the function were MPs Jerusha Momanyi (Nyamira Women Rep), Steve Mogaka (West Mugirango), Joash Nyamoko (North Mugirango), and Essy Okenyuri (Nominated Senator).
