Police arrest the prime suspect in the murder of Akoko the Billionaire
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) based in Kibra have arrested Brian Otieno Maurice, the prime suspect in the murder of Sospeter Osunga, also known as 'Akoko the Billionaire' following the incident on November 18, 2024.
Investigations revealed that on the material day of the attack on November 18, 2024, Osunga was assaulted by a group of assailants in the Ayani area, suffering fatal injuries to his back, believed to have been inflicted by a sharp object.
After extensive inquiries, three individuals were initially detained, providing vital information. This, along with other intelligence, police said, led to the arrest of the main suspect, who will be presented in court Monday.
The DCI called on members of the public to promote peace and avoid unnecessary violence.
