NTSA announces migration of all its services to the e-Citizen platform

The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has announced its commitment to implementing the government directive to migrate all government services to the E-Citizen Platform.
To facilitate a smooth transition, NTSA urges its clients, including motor vehicle owners, financial institutions, insurance companies, motor/motorcycle dealers, corporate/companies, embassies, missions, ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs), among other entities, to validate their E-Citizen accounts.
NTSA centralization This move by NTSA aims to centralize access to services through a unified portal and enhance service delivery to motor vehicle owners and other stakeholders.
Authority plans crackdown on speeding vehicles NTSA vehicles. NTSA plans to provide training sessions to help users familiarize themselves with the platform.
"In undertaking the validation process, the Authority requires person(s) assigned to transact on behalf of organization(s) to login to their E-Citizen account and to add the specific organization (s) using the KRA PIN Number(s). This is a critical exercise to ensure access to all NTSA services within the platform," NTSA announced.
To facilitate this transition, the TIMS portal will be shut down from Friday, December 29, 2023 midnight to Monday, January 1, 2024 midnight to limit transactions on all NTSA services.
"Further, the Public is notified that as part of the on-boarding process, the Authority intends to shut down the TIMS portal from Friday, 29th December 2023 (Mid-night) to Monday, 1st January 2024 (Mid-night) to limit transactions on all NTSA services," the NTSA revealed.
During the closure period, all NTSA online service access will be integrated with the E-Citizen platform's single sign-on feature, in preparation for the Go-Live on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
"All clients with pending transactions on the TIMS platform are therefore required to complete their applications by Friday 15th December 2023 to avoid any inconveniences. From Tuesday, 2nd January 2024, Only E-Citizen Login credentials (Username and Password) shall be used to access NTSA services," the statement concluded.
