NIBS Founder Lizzie Wanyoike to be buried next week on Tuesday

Madam Lizzie Wanyoike is set to be buried at her Gatanga home, next week on Tuesday.
She passed away at the age of 72 on January 14 after battling an illness.
Family and friends will also get a chance to bid farewell as the entrepreneur’s memorial service is slated for tomorrow at ACK St. Joseph of Arimathea, Thome at 3.00 pm.
Wanyoike has been eulogized by friends, family, and prominent politicians as a passionate educator who has impacted many lives.
The family and friends of Lizzie Wanyoike continue to meet at her Garden Estate residence in preparation for her funeral next week.
“In loving memory of a remarkable educator. Her passion ignited minds, her kindness touched hearts,” her family wrote.
Political leaders are among Kenyans from all spheres of life who have also expressed their sympathies to the family of the departed entrepreneur.
“Liz was not just a great businesswoman but a source of inspiration for many. Her legacy and impact will always be remembered,” Kabogo wrote on X.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family, friends, and the entire education community during this time," Nairobi Deputy Governor Njoroge Muchiri said in tribute to the founder
Kimani Ichungwa, the majority leader of the National Assembly, praised Wanyoike as an icon of education as well.
