The National Museums of Kenya has invited Information Technology experts to upgrade its systems following concerns about foreigners encountering challenges when trying to pay through eCitizen to access their facilities.
In a statement, the Museums body also engaged the Office of Public Service Transformation Department to enhance better and more quality services.
"This will enhance convenient access to services by our clients including school groups, families and domestic and international researchers among others," the statement read in part.
The Museums body also encouraged stakeholders to provide feedback regarding their services to enhance their service provision.
The statement comes amid concerns raised over foreigners facing a hard time paying to access the Museums through the eCitizen platform.
Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi raised these issues during a Citizen TV interview on Thursday when he questioned why the government kept quiet on such pertinent matters.
"I have seen tourists shedding tears at the National Museum. They have come all the way from Europe, they are looking forward to entering the museum, they are told you have to do this digitally," he said.
"They stand there, spend one hour, they are not able to get on board, they go back. Government will say this is not true because they have become so cerebral liars that they are not shocked that the rest of us think it is a stupid thing to be lying so publicly," he added.
