Drama as Nairobi woman injures her neighbour, accuses her of seducing and calling her husband at odd hours

A woman in Kariobangi North who allegedly attacked a neighbour for “seducing” her husband has been charged with causing injuries and damaging a bed and a mobile phone.

Sylvia Musume Alaka is accused of assaulting Agnes Mwanzia on April 4 at her house and causing her injuries. She is also accused of maliciously damaging Mwanzia’s phone and bed, all valued at Sh27,500.

The complainant said that on that morning, she was still in bed browsing online when she heard someone calling her outside.

She peeped through the window to find out who was calling, and that was when the accused confirmed that Mwanzia was inside her house.

The complainant said Musume then forced her way into her house and started beating her while accusing her of calling her husband during odd hours and seducing him. She claimed that she had snatched her husband.

Mwanzia said the accused hit her on the head and stomped on her while she was lying in bed. As a result, she said, the bed broke.

Musume also allegedly smashed the complainant’s phone on the floor, damaging it.

The complainant said her neighbours came to her rescue and took her to the hospital.

When Musume was arraigned before Principal Magistrate Gilbert Shikwe, she denied the accusations and was granted a cash bail of Sh10,000 pending mention on May 12.
