KPLC announces management trainee opportunities

The Kenya Power and Lighting Company has announced career opportunities for the management training program.
In a communication on Tuesday's issue of My Gov, KPLC stated that it is looking for talented and motivated individuals to join the program.
"We are looking for brilliant, dynamic and self-driven people eager to make a difference and part of our result-oriented teams," KPLC said.
Applications are open for positions including electrical and electronic engineers, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, mechatronics engineers and geospatial engineers.
Other positions include accountants, legal officers, security officers, corporate communication officers, risk officers, planning officers, internal auditors and human resource officers.
Additionally, KPLC is looking for supply chain officers, customer service officers, environmental and social economist officers, property officers and ICT officers.
The Company noted that the ideal applicants must be no more than 30 years old by August 31, 2024.
They should have preferably graduated from recognised institutions in 2020.
KPLC said successful candidates will undergo an 18-month training program at the Company.
"The training program will be structured to include classroom, mentorship, hands-on- projects and rotations across various departments and functions," the Company said.
"On successful completion, they will be absorbed in specific functions of the Company."

They should attach their CV, copies of academic and professional certificates and other testimonials.
"Quote the title of the position you are applying for, and include your mobile telephone contact and email address, and to be received no later than Thursday, August 22, 2024," KPLC directed.
The Company noted that only candidates offered employment shall present a valid certificate of good conduct from DCI, valid clearance certificate from HELB, valid tax compliance certificate from KRA, current clearance from EACC and current report from an approved CRB.
