Trends and Insights For Africa (TIFA) has released a new poll on public opinion data assessing the performance of President Ruto's Kenya Kwanza government.

At least 3,0009 respondents, who constitute a representative sample of Kenya’s adult population, were polled between November 25 and December 7. 

The survey rated President Ruto's cabinet and ranked cabinet secretaries according to their performance.

The ratings were based on several metrics, including awareness, trust, visibility, commitment, issue resolution, and transparency, according to TIFA.

Ministry of Interior and Local Administration boss Kithure Kindiki was voted the best-performing cabinet secretary, scoring 65 percent, just four months after topping yet another survey by TIFA. 

Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary and also in charge of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, came in second with a score of 62 percent, followed by Ezekiel Machogu, Education CS, with a score of 58 percent.

Susan Nakhumicha, Cabinet Secretary for Health, and Kipchumba Murkomen, Cabinet Secretary for Roads, Transport, and Public Works, tied for fourth place with 57 percent.

The same survey also revealed the worst-performing CSs, with Energy and Petroleum CS Davis Chirchir ranking last with a score of 19%.

Others who finished in the bottom five include Gender CS Aisha Jumwa (23%) and her Treasury counterpart Njuguna Ndungu (24%).

 Lands and Housing CS Alice Wahome and her Water and Sanitation counterpart, Zachariah Njeru also made it to the list of worst performers, with a tie at 24 percent.
