Kirinyaga: Seven Escape Death Narrowly As Vehicle Catches Fire
Seven people escaped death narrowly after a vehicle they were traveling in caught fire in Kirinyaga.
The incident happened in Karia area along the Kutus-Kerugoya road after the driver lost control of the vehicle.
"The vehicle hit a culvert before bursting in flames," Wilson Murimi, a resident, told Citizen Digital.
Residents rushed to the scene to help put out the inferno as those on board cried out for help.
The seven occupants were taken to Kerugoya Hospital for treatment after sustaining minor injuries.
Fire fighters from the county government thanked locals for their swift response.
