Kenya High Chief Principal has Landed a Job in Australia.

Kenya High Chief Principal has Landed a Job in Australia.

Flora Mulatya, the chief principal of The Kenya High School, has been promoted and assigned as the education attaché to Australia.

Mrs Mulatya confirmed  that she has been transferred from the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to the Public Service Commission, with the goal of moving to Australia as the education attaché "as soon as possible."

Kenya High School consistently ranks among the top performing national schools. Mrs Mulatya told the Nation that she handed over control of the school to her deputy (administration), Ms Irene Omangi, on Monday. Ms Omangi will run the school until the new chief principal, Virginia Wahome, takes over.

Mrs Wahome currently serves as the principal of Bishop Gatimu Ngandu Girls High School. Mrs Mulatya, who has been a student at Kenya High since 2016, described her time there as "memorable."

"I'm relieved, but I'm going to miss my girls and the staff." I loved working with the girls and watching them grow. Making a difference in their lives was extremely rewarding for me. But there comes a time when we must see the world in a different light while still making an impact through education," Mrs Mulatya explained.

She was the principal of Machakos Girls High School, Mbooni Girls High School, Good Shepherd Secondary School, and Kitise Secondary School prior to her transfer to Kenya High. President William Ruto bestowed the Moran of the Burning Spear on her last month, while former President Uhuru Kenyatta bestowed the Order of the Golden Warrior on her in 2018 for her outstanding performance in education.
