Kalonzo Musyoka calls out the government over increasing cases of abductions

Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has condemned the government for the increasing cases of abductions and arbitrary arrests, citing the recent detention of Savannah Clinker chairman Benson Ndeta.

Speaking in Nakuru during a church service at St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Racecourse, Kalonzo, accompanied by other opposition leaders, called on the clergy to pray against the growing culture of abductions and governance challenges.

Kalonzo Musyoka, alongside other opposition leaders, joined Catholic faithful at the church, sustaining criticism of the Kenya Kwanza administration over what he described as harassment and the undermining of lawful practices.

In his remarks, Kalonzo accused the government of targeting well-established businesses and linking its actions to the controversial affordable housing initiative.

"Hivi vita vyote ina uhusiano na affordable housing… watu wanameza mate vile wanaweza kumiliki kampuni… A Kenyan businessman, well-organized, akapata ushindi, they want to stop him. They do not want him to buy this industry," he said.

Kalonzo also condemned the rising cases of abductions, warning that such practices are pushing the nation into a governance crisis. He rallied for collective opposition against these trends, emphasizing the role of all Kenyans in resisting poor governance.

"This is why we say the next round of maandamano will not be Gen Z but Gen Zote. Kenyans can't take it anymore. Wenye wanachukua ushuru, it's like half-half, na hiyo pesa, Wakenya hawana shida kuchukua ushuru, inaenda kwa watu binafsi. Hayta hii e-citizen. We will be very active; we will not allow the country to go down the drain," he declared.

His sentiments were echoed by other leaders, including Eugene Wamalwa, the Democratic Action Party-Kenya (DAP-K) leader, who urged the government to uphold the rule of law.

"Let us be a country that adheres to the rule of law, not the rule of lies. Stop abductions, stop corruption," Wamalwa stated.

The opposition leaders further urged the clergy to take a stand against poor governance and systemic failures in the country, calling for collective prayers and actions to restore accountability and integrity in public leadership.
