Jowie releases new worship song 2 hours after being found guilty of Monica's murder

Just after his guilty verdict in the murder case of businesswoman Monica Kimani, Joseph Irungu alias Jowie released a new worship song.

Jowie posted the new track dubbed 'Nakuabudu' on YouTube after he was found guilty of the murder which happened on September 19, 2018, following a close to a five-year court trial.

At the start of the music audio, Jowie sings he will worship and honour Jesus alone. The video has been watched more than 4,000 times on YouTube so far.

Meanwhile, after she was acquitted in court, Jowie's co-accused and ex-lover Jacque Maribe said the truth had finally come to light.

The media personality quoted a bible verse while speaking to the media after the court proceeding.

"I don't know if to say anything, I'll just say go read John 8:32; 'For you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free,'" Maribe said while embracing friends.

In her ruling, Justice Grace Nzioka said there was no adequate evidence linking Maribe to the murder.

"The prosecution did not adduce adequate evidence to find the second accused person (Jacque Maribe) guilty of the offence of murder,” Nzioka ruled while reading the judgment at Milimani Law Courts.

Adding;

"The result is that the prosecution did not adduce enough evidence for this court to find the second accused person guilty of the offence of murder of Monica Nyawira Kimani on the night of September 19, 2018."
