Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko is widely known for his immense wealth and extravagant lifestyle, often flaunting a level of luxury that many can only dream of.

When asked about the total worth of his accessories, he confidently stated that they were valued at over 92 million Kenyan shillings, breaking down the cost of each item in detail.
Obinna Confronts Sonko About His Wealth
Wasting no time, Obinna posed the question that was on everyone’s mind:
"Where do you get your money? You have so much!"
Without hesitation, Sonko responded:
"I had money from back in the day. I used to go to school in a Mercedes-Benz—and this was in the 1990s."
Sonko's Wealth and Business Background
Sonko went on to explain that he comes from a well-off family, revealing that his father was a real estate agent who taught him everything he knows about business.
"I was selling land at a very young age—it was a family business that we worked hard to build," he said.

However, his journey was not without challenges. Before even finishing school, Sonko found himself entangled in land disputes, which led to his arrest and placement in a juvenile facility at one point.
Addressing the Drug Allegations
Rumours about Sonko’s alleged involvement in drug trafficking resurfaced later in his political career, but he dismissed the accusations, maintaining that his wealth comes purely from business.
"It was all business—nothing to do with drugs," he assured Obinna and his viewers.
Sonko’s Hard Work and Philanthropy
Sonko emphasized that his success is a result of sheer hard work and perseverance. Over the years, he has built numerous businesses that generate significant income, crediting God as his guide.
His generosity is evident online, as he continuously supports those in need. From adopting less fortunate children and sponsoring their education to offering financial aid to struggling Kenyans, Sonko has established himself as a philanthropist.
"My biggest motivator is God," he concluded, reaffirming his commitment to giving back to the community.
