The main suspect in the molestation of two children in Malindi, Michael Balentine, is said to have fled the country after authorities launched a manhunt for him.
According to the DCI's Child Protection Unit, the government is already collaborating with Interpol, the international security agency, to locate the suspect, who is of South African origin.
Mueni Mutisya, the head of the Child Protection Unit (CPU), has urged the public to remain calm while the investigation continues, promising to find the suspect's location.
The case involving the two children is currently before the Malindi Court.
Currently, two female suspects have been apprehended and are in custody for allegedly aiding the main suspect, with one of the suspects being 17 years old.
