
High Court Judge Majanja set to be cremated today at Kariokor cemetery

High Court Judge David Majanja will be cremated today at Kariokor Cemetery in Nairobi.
A funeral service will take place at Friends International Centre, Ngong Road, starting at 9 am, followed by a private interment ceremony by the family. The cremation will be conducted privately by the family.
A Memorial Service in honor of Justice Majanja will be held in Shinyalu Constituency, Kakamega County, on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
Justice Majanja passed away at a Nairobi hospital on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, following a hospital admission for surgery.
Justice Majanja was appointed as a Judge of the High Court in 2011 and served at the Milimani Civil Division court until his passing.
He was sworn in as a member of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) on May 28, 2024, having been re-elected to represent the Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association (KMJA) on the JSC.
Previously, he served on the JSC from May 14, 2019, for a five-year term.
Before his re-election, Justice Majanja chaired the Human Resource Management Committee and was a member of the Audit Committee.
He also chaired the Governance and Risk Management Committee and the Learning and Development Committee.
