Nyandarua Senator John Methu's father is dead.

The lawmaker revealed that his dad- Michael Maigo Waweru- passed away on Christmas Day in the morning but did not disclose his cause of death.

"Death is painful and cruel. The pain of losing a parent is immeasurable. My dad rested this morning," he wrote on his official X account.

Various leaders and netizens alike sent in their condolence messages to the politician including Senator Allan Chesang, Kanini Kega and others.

"My condolences dear brother. Mungu awape Nguvu," Trans-Nzoia senator Allan Chesang wrote.

"Pole sana my brother. Indeed, it's unbelievable. But take heart together with your family because some things we have no control over. Pole tena my brother," Kipipiri MP Wanjiku Muhia said.

"Pole sana bro for this immeasurable loss that has befallen you and your family. May u (you) be comforted and have peace knowing dad is in a better place," Mukurwe-ini MP John Kaguchia wrote.

"My very sincere and heartfelt condolences my brother. pole sana ndugu," EALA MP Kanini Kega stated.
