According to government pathologist Johansen Oduor, the four men succumbed to beatings. 

While briefing the press at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) on Thursday, Oduor stated that the four men's death was caused by blunt force trauma in the lower parts of the body.

"It was the bodies of four young boys whose death we are all privy to, these men died because of internal bleeding and the bleeding was due to blunt trauma on the lower parts of the body," Oduor commented

"The beatings were behind the buttocks, the legs, and the lower back, it looks like they were beaten and they bled till they died," Oduor further added.

Oduor forwarded the post-mortem reports to the relevant authorities for further investigation.

Meanwhile, the families of the four deceased men were briefed on the autopsy results and allowed to view the bodies stored at the Moi Teaching Referral Hospital (MTRH) morgue

The four men were allegedly beaten by KDF officers after they were found trespassing on the farm to collect postharvest crops.

Earlier on, Uasin Gishu County commissioner Dr. Eddyson Nyale was forced to calm angry residents who threatened to stop police officers from collecting the bodies for postmortem analysis. 

Locals demanded justice and requested the government to set an inquest to ascertain why the men were killed rather than arrested. 

The father of one of the deceased also asked President William Ruto to intervene and help bring the assailants to book

"I checked his body, and he had no visible injuries except that one of his eyes appeared to be swollen. We were shocked by this incident because my son was hardworking and innocent. When I arrived at the scene, I discovered three bodies. 

"We suspect they were murdered elsewhere and dumped on the military land," the father mourned
