The conflict began when Kibe, no stranger to ruffling features, took on Mike Sonko, questioning the legitimacy of his 'designer brands' while at the same time, lampooning the former Governor for promoting western brands and appearing to leave no  legacy himself. 

Kibe also asked Sonko to join one of his YouTube Live sessions, seeing that now he seemed to have more time on his hands.

Not one to toy with, Sonko was fast and furious with his reply, as usual, and the certified city rabble rouser went all in - peppering his diatribe with some of the choicest insults only he can muster.

An angry Sonko told off Kibe, telling him to keep off his private life and castigating him for constantly attacking female public figures as a way of generating views and earning a living. 

"I have heard you. I'm not stupid. Keep off my private life. I am a brand to myself. I don't need to show it off. Stop attacking women!" a furious Sonko ranted. 

"The other day, you were attacking Bahati, a young man trying to earn a living. You attacked Kamene Goro, Millicent Omanga, and Karen Nyamu. What is wrong with you? You are full of gossip!"

Deeply incensed, Sonko dared Kibe to come back to Kenya and act the same way, warning that he would 'deal with him', a cryptic parlance any Sonko student would understand. 

"Come and attack us while you are in the country. We will deal with you. Behave! If you are desperate for views, come I employ you," he added.

As the online feud simmered, gossip-loving Kenyans watched with glee as two of the most controversial male figures went for each other's jugular, none willing to budge.

On Twitter, where Mike Sonko loves to dump most of his tirades, the attacks went on, with the flamboyant politician even questioning Kibe's sexuality, in a homophobic tweet which has already been viewed over 400,000 times. 

"Mwanaume kuwa sh**a nikitu mbaya sana. Will tell you why this g*y divorced "HER" wife," he tweeted.

Kibe, who must have been asleep (given the difference in time zones) by the time Sonko was haranguing him, woke up to do what he does best - respond, harshly and jarringly.

Taking to TikTok, the former Kiss FM radio presenter derided Sonko, calling him a loser and a 'clout chaser'.

"Sonko, right now, you are a loser. Humble yourself. Then pick some wisdom nuggets because that arrogance made you lose your gubernatorial seat. Stop being emotional. You don't know who you are. You are a content creator. You are a clout chaser. Put some professionalism behind it! " Kibe said.

One thing is clear - none of these men would be willing to throw in the towel and extend the olive branch, which can only also mean one more thing; an extended period of messier, nastier and even more jaw-dropping flare-ups.
