Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi says more than 100 trucks carrying fertilizers, have successfully reached the Eldoret and Kitale NCPB depots.
Speaking during the official launch of the Eldoret Agricultural Show, Linturi emphasized the government's commitment to supporting farmers across the country, for adequate food production.
The Agriculture Cabinet Secretary has apologized for the delayed distribution of subsidized fertilizer to farmers in the country.
“Fertilizer wakati mnaichukua na ni mzuri mnaichukua mpaka inaisha tunakuwa na changamoto ya transport katika kufikisha kule inakotoka kufika katika area hii so the problem was there yesterday or the day before yesterday, the problem is not there today,” he said.
“Because tulipopata habari kila wakati ni suppliers fertilizer ilifika wapi, iko namna gani, so I apologise for that slight delay but I think it is important that the farmers are keeping us on our toes.”
