Activist Kebaso Morara injured after chaos erupted during public participation exercise in Bomas

Live Activist Morara Kebaso found himself scuttling for safety at Bomas of Kenya after chaos erupted during the public participation exercise on the impeachment motion against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

The incident ensued following an altercation with Kebaso's henchmen and unknown individuals seeking him to leave the premises.

Kebaso, who is renowned for exposing the government's 'dirty laundry', defiantly threw his fists in the air, showing a solidarity approach as he stood his ground.

The 28-year-old sat on the chairs as he patiently awaited his turn to engage in the public participation exercise. The action drew the ire of the suspected goons who began throwing chairs in his direction.

Other individuals joined the fray and began chasing Kebaso, prompting his security team to whisk him away to safety.

The activist attempted to stand his ground but was overpowered with a myriad of chairs thrown in his direction. Kebaso sustained injuries following the incident.

Chaos was also witnessed in Nyeri where area residents lit bonfires and matched towards the streets to protest against Gachagua's impeachment motion.

The public participation exercise has kicked off across all 47 counties, with the public urged to express their views regarding the special motion.
