On Friday afternoon, a Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) employee was killed at the agency's Times Tower headquarters in Nairobi.
The staffer died as a result of his injuries while being treated by the KRA medical team and an emergency response team.
According to the authorities, it is still unclear what occurred, and the incident is being investigated.
The Authority said in a statement distributed to newsrooms, "KRA remains committed to the health and safety of its employees and is saddened by this unfortunate occurrence."
A senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) fell out of his 17th floor office window at the company's Delta Towers headquarters in Westlands, Nairobi, in 2018. As a result of his injuries, Stephen Mumbo, the company's Business Recovery Services manager, died.
Even as police were investigating his death, it was widely assumed that Mumbo died as a result of work-related stress and depression.
