2 dead, 8 injured after a road accident in Salgaa
Two people have died, and eight others seriously injured after a road accident in Sobea area, Salgaa.
The accident that occurred on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway on Monday night involved a 14-seater matatu from Nanaki Sacco that was heading to Nakuru, a trailer and a probox.
According to eye witnesses, the head-on collision was between the matatu and a trailer that was avoiding hitting a probox that was overtaking using the wrong lane.
The injured persons were rushed to Nakuru Level Five Hospital for treatment.
The accident occurred two days after five other people lost their lives while eight sustained serious injuries following a road accident along the Eldoret-Nakuru Highway on Saturday morning.
The 3:30 am incident occurred after a 14-seater matatu, en route to Nakuru from Eldoret, collided head-on with a truck at Migaa, Nakuru County.
