This summer’s FIFA Club World Cup has seen a mini-transfer window introduced, designed to allow clubs to sign new players before the tournament.
Several competing sides have already completed business, while more are pushing to conclude deals before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
We’ve looked at five potential transfers to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
Five transfers to watch before Tuesday’s mini-window deadline
Theo Hernandez – AC Milan to Al-Hilal
Al-Hilal are looking to capitalise on an exodus at AC Milan with a move to sign Theo Hernandez. A fee has been agreed between the two teams, though Hernandez is yet to decide on a move to the Saudi Pro League.
Hernandez has been one of Serie A’s standout left-backs in recent seasons and is a top target for new head coach Simone Inzaghi. The France international is viewed as an ideal option for Inzaghi’s wing-back system, after returning 23 goals and assists for Milan over the last three seasons.
The 27-year-old is yet to agree personal terms with Al-Hilal or indicate he wants the move. Al-Hilal could move on to alternatives if a decision is not made swiftly.
Victor Osimhen – Napoli to Al-Hilal
Al-Hilal will represent the Saudi Pro League at the tournament and are keen to make a statement. Alongside the pursuit of Theo Hernandez, the Saudi side is pushing to bring in Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
Al-Hilal are prepared to pay the striker’s €75m release and a lucrative contract, but the Nigerian has stalled on accepting the club’s proposal. Osimhen spent last season on loan at Galatasaray and scored 37 goals in 41 games, a record for an overseas player in a Turkish season.

Galatasaray want to sign Osimhen permanently but the finances of a deal appear difficult. Interest from Europe’s top five leagues has not been as prominent as 12 months ago.
Rayan Cherki – Lyon to Manchester City
Manchester City are nearing an agreement to sign Rayan Cherki from Lyon. The Citizens have targeted the midfielder as the club look to plug the creative gap left by Kevin De Bruyne’s departure.
Cherki led Ligue 1 and the Europa League for assists last season and increased excitement with a stunning goal on debut for France this week.

His involvement at the Nations League concludes on Sunday, which could accelerate a transfer ahead of the Club World Cup. City are also finalising transfers for AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders and Wolves full-back Rayan Ait-Nouri.
Mike Maignan – AC Milan to Chelsea
Enzo Maresca wants a new number one at Chelsea and Mike Maignan is the top target. The France international has just 12 months to run on his deal at the San Siro and has indicated his desire to move to the Premier League.

Chelsea are seeking to secure a cut-price deal and have submitted an offer of around €15m. If accepted, it could be one of the steals of the summer
Jamie Gittens – Borussia Dortmund to Chelsea
Chelsea are also chasing Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens and are set to return with a second offer.
The West Londoners have seen an opening proposal of €35m turned down for the 20-year-old. An agreement has already been reached with Gittens, who is open to a return to England after five years in Germany.

Last season, the winger led the Bundesliga for successful take-ons and progressive carries per 90 minutes. He is seen as a replacement for Jadon Sancho and the suspended Mykhailo Mudryk.
