Forbes, Magazine has released the list of Billionaires found in Africa for the year 2024. The list is courtesy of the Forbes real-time billionaires list.
On top of the list is Johann Rupert & family who have been ranked as Africa’s richest man with $10.3 billion. Rupert who hails from South Africa has accumulated his wealth through Luxury goods. Worldwide he ranks at number 192 on the list of billionaires.
Second on the list is Nigeria’s Aliko Dangote with $9.5 billion. Globally he is ranked at number 228 and he makes his money via the Sugar and Cement industry.
Dangote immersed his wealth in the Manufacturing industry and his company employs more than 11,000 people in West Africa.
He owns the Dangote Group - one of the largest conglomerates in Africa, with international operations in Benin, Ghana, Zambia, and Togo.
Third on the list is Nick Oppenheimer and his family with $8.3 billion. The South African moan makes his money through Diamonds. Globally he is ranked at number 283.
Number four on the Forbes real-time billionaires list is Nassef Sawiris from Egypt with $7.4 billion. Sawiris has accumulated his wealth through Construction and Investments.
Globally he is ranked at number 345.
Abdulsamad Rabiu from Nigeria is number five on the list with $5.9 billion and he makes his money through the Cement and sugar sectors.
He ranks at number 489 globally.
