The stakes are high as Team Kenya sets off for the Senior African Games

Kenya's contingent of 60 athletes, comprising 26 women and 34 men, has left the country for the Africa Senior Athletics Championships that kicks off on Friday in Cameroon.
Three-time national champion Mark Otieno, 2016 Olympic silver medalist Julius Yego, and 800m runner Sarah Moraa will aim to get the qualifying marks for the Paris Olympics during the competition.
African Games and national 1,500m champion Brian Komen will lead the hunt for medals alongside the experienced Boaz Kiprugut.
In the 10,000m, Kenya Police champion Gladys Kwamboka will team up with Emmy Jepkemoi to gun for top honors
National champions Roncer Konga and Joseph Kiptum will add depth and experience to the Kenyan team as they aim to top the medal standings in Africa.
Other athletes looking to qualify include Boniface Mweresa (400m), Mike Mokamba (200m), and Rukia Nusra (100m).
