Digital business service provider Teleperformance has expanded its operations in Kenya with the opening of a new center at the Two Rivers International Finance and Innovation Centre (TRIFIC).

The new entity will create between 4,000 and 5,000 new jobs in the region, bolstering Kenya’s growing reputation as a prime destination for global outsourcing.

Gary Slade, CEO of Teleperformance UKISSA, said that the new operation at TRIFIC, located within the Special Economic Zone (SEZ), will offer a variety of advanced services, including customer experience management, digital business services, and data analytics.

“Teleperformance’s investment in Kenya is a game-changer,” he said.

“This operation will bring significant employment opportunities to the region, and with the capacity to accommodate up to 5,000 employees, we are excited about the future potential of this hub.”

The new center will supplement the company’s existing workforce of 1,400 employees in Kenya, reinforcing Teleperformance’s commitment to growing its regional operations.

With a strong emphasis on utilizing Kenya’s highly skilled workforce, Teleperformance aims to tap into the country’s competitive advantage in linguistics, technological innovation, and cost-effective business solutions.

James Mworia, CEO of Centum Investment Company Plc, which owns TRIFIC SEZ, praised the development, stating, “This announcement highlights Kenya’s growing potential as an investment destination and showcases the TRIFIC SEZ as an ideal hub for international business outsourcing.”

TRIFIC SEZ, a subsidiary of the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE)-listed Centum Plc, is strategically positioned to attract multinational companies seeking to expand their footprint in Africa.

The SEZ offers cutting-edge infrastructure and a favourable business environment, making it a magnet for investment.
