Shabana FC to battle it out with Kisumu All stars

All eyes are now on the 2022/23 Football Kenya Federation (FKF)National Super League finals this weekend as Shabana fc and Murang'a seals battle it out.

Shabana FC will play Kisumu All Stars at Gusii stadium, while Murang'a seals against Gusii FC at Awendo Green stadium in Migori County.

With 70 points in the bag, Sammy Okoth’s charges know that this is a must-win for Tore Bobe with only a two-point cushion currently in the standings.

The first leg meeting between the two team saw All Stars also known as Otenga beat the Kisii-based giants 1-0 at their Moi Stadium-Kisumu.

League leaders, Shabana have only a single-digit goal difference and so the win will add more joy even though already they are across the line.

With 22 wins in 31 matches played, Shabana have had a stellar campaign by their standards and to close their involvement with the second tier with a comforting win will certainly have a mark. All-Stars in 12th place have nothing to lose but have promised to spoil the party for Shabana FC.

“Even if the season is ending, we still want to win. It is not in our placeto see whoever is fighting for the title. We focus on us because theseason has been difficult,” said the Lakeside tactician Andrew Aroka whose side have 36 points off 31 matches.

Second-placed Muranga Seal FC on their part will be praying for Shabana to drop points so that they make their own history. Ears and eyes will be on what happens next door as they cope with their own gig.

It is anticipated today that over 50,000 will attend final NSL game between Shabana FC and Kisumu All Stars at Gusii stadium. As early as this, fans are getting their way into the stadium. A win for Kisii based team will earn them the championship.

Tickets for the game will sell at ksh 100 for regular and ksh 200 for VIPs.
