Rigathi Gachagua: Puts a billboard along Thika road leaving Kenyans tongues wagging
The contents of the billboard shows Mathira Mp Rigathi Gachagua holding 202Million stashed in a sack and also a judge raising a gavel, seemingly ready to land on the back of the lawamakers head.
The billboard came a few days after a court in Nairobi ruled that Mathira Member of parliament Rigathi Gachagua should give back the two hundred and two million to the state.
In a ruling on thursday July 28, Milimani law courts Justice Esther Maina said she established that the amount of money Rigathi claims(202M) are proceeds of corruption. Esther argued that the Mathira Mp failed to explain how he acquired the wealth from the government agencies as he suggested.
Rigathi Gachagua had said that he earned the money through an award of contracts, but the judge said that Mr. Rigathi did not provide substancial documents to prove he had any contract with the state.
