Reuben Kigame Expresses Concerns Over the 2023 Finance Bill.

Reuben Kigame has cautioned President William Ruto of certain factors could lead to his downfall.

In an open letter, Kigame highlighted the dangers of hatred, excessive taxes, misplaced priorities, and an overly westernized approach to important matters within the government.

Kigame recommended implementing austerity measures to reduce government spending as a survival strategy.

He expressed concern over the 2023 Finance Bill, which he viewed as a vehicle for overtaxing Kenyans.Additionally, Kigame proposed that the President curtail international travel for himself and other government officials until July 2024, suggesting virtual meetings instead of using private hotels.

He urged Ruto to repatriate trillions of dollars held in foreign bank accounts and eliminate unnecessary government positions, such as the First Lady, Second Lady, and Spouse to the Prime Cabinet Secretary.

Kigame called for a halt to proposed new taxes and the reinstatement of subsidies on fuel and Unga (maize flour) to provide relief and enable long-term planning for the people of Kenya.

He criticized the imposition of a mandatory 3% housing levy, stating that people prioritize food over houses warning that such actions could lead to the impeachment of both the president and parliament.

He challenged the notion that a nation can achieve economic stability and prosperity by impoverishing its citizens and burdening them with heavy taxes.

Kigame emphasized that the impending doom cannot be averted by exerting power, but rather by listening to the concerns of the common people.

He further warned Ruto about being drawn into an economic crisis by international organizations such as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank who advocate for excessive taxation and reckless privatization.

Kigame criticized the government's misplaced priorities, emphasizing the need to prioritize national sovereignty and support local farmers instead of becoming reliant on foreign goods.
