Wetangula said that Ruto is well prepared for  presidential debate. The Bungoma senator went further and said that the kenya kwanza alliance presidential candidate would tackle his main competitor Raila Odinga and will peel him like an onion. Moses Wetangula has therefore warned Raila Odinga ahead of the presidential debate.

However, It is hinted that Raila skipping the debate alleging that the organizers were collaborating with Ruto's team. Speaking in kibra Constituency on Wednesday ,July 20th, Moses Wetangula said William Ruto would use the debate to educate Raila on how to run the country.

He says, " We are going to them what are we made of, made of steel, determination, focused and we know where we are and where we are going." Dennis Onyango, the communication officer at the ODM leader's secretariat said that it was, "A failed debate, a waste of time of precious time at Media council of kenya, very shoddy very showbiz and very lacking of substance.
