Former President Uhuru Kenyatta Celebrates 62nd Birthday, Talks To Jubilee Party Members On Phone

The former President spoke after a call from Jubilee party vice-chair David Murathe during a meeting held at their headquarters.

Kenyatta thanked the party members for celebrating him on his special day, as he wished them well in their endeavors.

“Hamjambo nyote mko poa? Thank you very much for your birthday wishes and for remembering me. May God bless you and protect you,” he told the excited crowd.

Songs were sung in praise of the former head of state as cakes were cut during the celebrations.

 

Leaders from across the political divide have also wished the former president best wishes as they lauded his achievements for the country.

Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale cherished his friendship and political support he received from Uhuru during campaigns.

“Happy birthday to you! Hope you’re enjoying life in retirement. Although we went different ways during your presidency, I cherish our friendship,” he said on X.

DAP Kenya Party Leader Eugene L. Wamalwa, wished him a happy birthday and long life.

“Happy birthday Uhuru Kenyatta, a man am proud to call my friend &leader who left footprints on the sands of time of our Nation for generations to come, through devolution& phenomenal infrastructural development,” he said on X.

Traders from his home turf in Gatundu also joined in celebrating the former head of state.

Uhuru has kept a low public profile since he retired last year after serving two terms as President.
