Euro 2024: Who has qualified and who can still book their place in Germany?

Euro 2024: Who has qualified and who can still book their place in Germany?

England and Scotland have already booked their spots at Euro 2024 but can Wales join them?

1-1 draw in Armenia on Saturday means Wales must beat Group D leaders Turkey in Cardiff on Tuesday and hope that Croatia drop points against Armenia.

Rob Page's side are guaranteed a play-off if they fall short though.

Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland cannot qualify for the Euros.

A total of 24 sides will compete at next summer's tournament in Germany, with the hosts qualifying automatically.

There are 20 places available from the qualification process, and 19 nations have already booked their spots via that route.

The other three places will be decided through play-offs, with the 12 teams taking part in that process determined by their performances in the 2022-23 Nations League.

The draw for the tournament is on 2 December. The play-offs will be next March.

Who has already qualified?

Germany (hosts), Albania, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Scotland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey

Who else can qualify automatically?

Wales, Croatia

Who will be in play-offs?

Path A: Poland, Wales or Croatia, Estonia, one of Finland, Ukraine, Iceland

Path B: Israel, Bosnia-Herzegovina, two of Finland, Ukraine or Iceland

Path C: Georgia, Greece, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg

Group A
  Team P GD PTS
1 Spain (Q) 8 20 21
2 Scotland (Q) 8 9 17
3 Norway 8 2 11
4 Georgia (P/O) 8 -6 8
5 Cyprus 8 -25 0

Scotland's qualification was sealed by Spain's 1-0 win in Norway on 15 October. That result also secured Spain's place at the finals - and they went on to win the group.

Erling Haaland's Norway have been eliminated.

Group C
  Team P GD PTS
1 England (Q) 8 18 20
2 Italy (Q) 8 7 14
3 Ukraine (P/O) 8 3 14
4 North Macedonia 8 -10 8
5 Malta 8 -18 0

England will be at Euro 2024 as victory over Italy at Wembley on 17 October sealed top spot in Group C.

European champions Italy joined them with a nervy goalless draw against Ukraine in the final game. The Ukrainians would have gone through instead had they won - but get a play-off place instead.

Group D
  Team P GD PTS
1 Turkey (Q) 7 7 16
2 Croatia (P/O at least) 7 8 13
3 Wales (P/O at least) 7 0 11
4 Armenia 7 -1 8
5 Latvia 8 -14 3

Turkey have already sealed their place at Euro 2024 and Croatia will join them if they beat Armenia on Tuesday.

But if Croatia fail to win, then Wales could overtake them if they beat Turkey at home.

Wales are guaranteed a play-off place through, through their performance in last year's Nations League.

They would face either Finland, Ukraine or Iceland in a home play-off semi-final for Euro 2024 - with Poland or Estonia waiting in the final.

Group H
  Team P GD PTS
1 Denmark (Q) 10 9 22
2 Slovenia (Q) 10 11 22
3 Finland (P/O) 10 8 18
4 Kazakhstan (P/O) 10 4 18
5 Northern Ireland 10 -4 9
6 San Marino 10 -28 0

Northern Ireland's hopes of qualifying from Group H were long over when they beat Denmark 2-0 in their final group game.

The Danes qualified for Euro 2024 thanks to a 2-1 win over Slovenia on Friday. Slovenia joined them with a home victory over Kazakhstan in their final fixture on Monday.

Group B
  Team P GD PTS
1 France (Q) 7 26 21
2 Netherlands (Q) 7 4 15
3 Greece (P/O) 7 6 12
4 Republic of Ireland 8 -1 6
5 Gibraltar 7 -35 0

The Republic of Ireland are unable to qualify after a 2-0 home loss to Greece on 13 October ensured they could no longer finish in the top two.

France have already qualified for the finals but maintained their 100% record and claimed their biggest-ever win on Saturday by thrashing 10-man Gibraltar 14-0.

The Netherlands, meanwhile, secured second place by beating the Republic 1-0 on 18 October.

Group E
  Team P GD PTS
1 Albania (Q) 8 8 15
2 Czech Republic (Q) 8 6 15
3 Poland (P/O) 8 0 11
4 Moldova 8 -3 10
5 Faroe Islands 8 -11 2

Albania's draw with Moldova on Friday, coupled with Poland's draw with the Czech Republic, helped the Group E leaders qualify for a European Championship for only the second time.

The Czech Republic will also be in Germany this summer after beating Moldova 3-0 in their final qualifying match on Monday.

Group F
  Team P GD PTS
1 Belgium (Q) 8 18 20
2 Austria (Q) 8 10 19
3 Sweden 8 2 10
4 Azerbaijan 8 -10 7
5 Estonia (P/O) 8 -20 1

Belgium, quarter-finalists at the past two European Championships, qualified for next year's tournament thanks to a 3-2 win away against second-placed Austria.

The Austrians also confirmed their place at the tournament in Germany after beating Azerbaijan on 16 October.

Estonia are in the play-offs despite only picking up one point.

Group G
  Team P GD PTS
1 Hungary (Q) 8 9 18
2 Serbia (Q) 8 6 14
3 Montenegro 8 -2 11
4 Lithuania 8 -6 6
5 Bulgaria 8 -7 4

Hungary sealed their place at Euro 2024 thanks to a stoppage-time own goal from Bulgaria's Aleks Petkov in their 2-2 draw on Thursday.

Serbia joined them with a 2-2 draw against Bulgaria in Sunday's group finale. This will be their first major tournament as a separate nation.
