Erling Haaland Wins Young Player of the Season Award.
Erling Haaland had been named 2022/2023 Premier League Young Player of the Season.
This comes after an impressive streak performance of 35 matches, 36 goals and 8 assists under Manchester City Manager, Pep Guardiola.
The 22 year old Norwegian was also crowned the 2022/2023 Premier League Player of the Season. He is the first player to win both Young Player of the season and Premier League Player of the year awards in one season.
Haaland successfully scooped the award from his main contenders, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard from Arsenal, Moses Caicedo and Alexis Mac Alister from Brighton among others.
Erling joined Manchester City after a £51.2 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund last year.
The striker has been exceptional at his first debut season breaking Premier League records including; four hattricks, first player in premier league history to score 3 consequtive hat tricks in 3 consequtive home games and most goals scored in a season which was previously held by Mohammed Salah of Liverpool.
Haaland's 36 goals propelled Man City to win the fifth premier league title under Pep.
