Deputy President William Ruto ahead in the new polls conducted having secured 53.1%

William Samoei Ruto leading with 53.1% against his arch rival Raila Amollo Odinga with 44.2% in the new polls done. The findings of the survey conducted by Intel Research Solutions (IRS) Show that Deputy president William Ruto would win presidency.

The pollster released the findings on Monday August 1st and indicated that Ruto garned 53.1% followed by Raila with 44.2% the third being Wajackoyah with 1.2% and lastly David Mwaure with 0.2%. The poll stated that Ruto was enjoying 25% of the vote support in 43 counties.

IRS chief executive Karen Mwangi released the findings of the survey conducted between the July 23rd and 28. Karen also stated that 2.7% account for the undecided voters in the country. However, she noted that the current trend may shift owing to the happenings in the political ground leading upto the August 9 General election.

"We may still expect slight changs in terms of popularity of the main presidential contenders over the next seven days depending on the campaign approaches adopted by each of the political farmations." she said.

Baba's major support is in the Nyanza, Nairobi and Lower Eastern regions, the survey stated. His highest numbers are in Siaya County where he boasts of 89% worth of support followed closely by Homa Bay with 88.4%, Kisumu with 87.7% and Migori with 81.5% Outside of his Nyanza backyard the survey also showed that in Busia there's 61.9%, Turkana 55.8%, Machakos 55.8%, Kilifi 55.6% and Taita Taveta 55.1%

On the other hand, William Ruto enjoys his highest popularity in Elgeyo Marakwet County with 91%, kericho 89.4%, Nandi 89.4% and Bomet with 87%. Outside the Rift valley In Tharaka Nithi County he garnered 81.5%, Embu 80.4%, Nyeri 80.3%, Nyandarua 78.2% and Muranga 75.3%.
