Patrik Schick scored twice in stoppage time as Bayer Leverkusen dramatically beat Qarabag to reach the Europa League quarter-finals and extend their season-long unbeaten run.
Second-half goals from Abdellah Zoubir and Juninho put visitors Qarabag 4-2 up on aggregate and in control of the tie.
However, Jeremie Frimpong volleyed in 10 minutes after Qarabag defender Elvin Cafarguliyev was sent off.
And Czech Republic forward Schick was the late hero for Xabi Alonso's side.
The 28-year-old looked set to send the tie to extra time when he steered in Alex Grimaldo's cross, but there was enough time for a further twist.
Schick's header from Exequiel Palacios' cross in the seventh added minute sparked wild scenes of joy among home supporters in the BayArena, leaving the Azerbaijani visitors floored.
The dramatic comeback extended the Bundesliga leaders' remarkable unbeaten run to 37 matches in all competitions this season.
