Azimio la Umoja party leader Raila Odinga has arrived at Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka's Yatta farm for a meeting.

The opposition chief landed in a chopper a few minutes past 1 PM accompanied by Nairobi Senator Edwin  Sifuna and Minority Leader at the National Assembly Opiyo Wandayi.

He was received by Kalonzo Musyoka, Former Defense CS Eugene Wamalwa, and Narc Kenya party leader  Martha Karua, among others.

The Wiper boss Kalonzo had invited key opinion leaders from across the three Ukambani counties for the major gathering.

All Ukambani MPs, and MCAs from Kitui, Machakos and Makueni will converge at the farm amid pressure on Kalonzo to declare his 2027 Presidential bid and seek support from Raila.

Kalonzo has always summoned key Ukambani leaders to his Yatta home when making landmark political declarations, including his decision to work with Azimio.

Some Ukambani leaders have been urging Kalonzo to run for the country's top seat in 2027, saying he has sacrificed a lot for others.

Kalonzo's first stab at the presidency was in 2007 when he ran on the ODM-K ticket but came third behind then-President Mwai Kibaki and Raila.

In 2013, Kalonzo brokered a political deal with Raila under the Cord Coalition in which he deputised the then-opposition leader.

In 2017, Kalonzo was Raila's running mate for the second time running under the Nasa coalition but lost to President Uhuru like in 2013.
